Ethics Policy

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Journal of Agricultural Digitalization Research is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. All stakeholders—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to the following ethical principles to prevent malpractice and ensure the credibility and transparency of research in the field of agricultural digitalization.

1. Duties of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism:

Authors must ensure that their submissions are entirely original works. Any reference to or use of others’ work must be properly cited. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is unethical and strictly prohibited.

Multiple Submissions:
Manuscripts submitted to JADR must not be under consideration by other journals or previously published. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals constitutes unethical behavior and will lead to rejection.

Accuracy and Data Integrity:
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data and results presented. Digital technologies and innovations in agriculture should be reported transparently, including methods, software, algorithms, datasets, and analytical tools. Any form of data fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation is unacceptable.

Conflict of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal interests that might influence the interpretation or reporting of their digital agriculture research. Transparency is critical for maintaining trust with readers and stakeholders.

2. Duties of Editors
Fair Play:

Editors will evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and contribution to the field of agricultural digitalization—without discrimination based on the authors’ personal characteristics or affiliations.

Confidentiality:
Editors must maintain confidentiality about submitted manuscripts and must not share information beyond what is necessary for the review and publication process.

Conflict of Interest:
Editors must avoid handling submissions in which they have a personal or professional conflict of interest. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with the journal’s ethical guidelines and for addressing any instances of misconduct.

3. Duties of Reviewers
Confidentiality:

Reviewers must treat submitted manuscripts as confidential and must not share or discuss them with unauthorized individuals.

Objectivity:
Reviews should be conducted fairly and constructively, with clear, evidence-based recommendations. Reviewers should avoid personal or biased remarks and focus solely on the content of the submission.

Acknowledgment of Sources:
Reviewers should identify any relevant literature not cited by the authors and report potential overlaps or similarities with existing works. They must notify the editor of any concerns related to plagiarism or ethical violations.

We appreciate your commitment to ethical publishing and your contributions to the integrity of the Journal of Agricultural Digitalization Research.
