Statement of Informed Consent

Statement of Informed Consent
Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Agricultural Digitalization Research are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards related to research practices, especially within the evolving field of digital agriculture. By submitting their work, authors affirm that their research has been conducted with integrity, transparency, and in alignment with all relevant ethical guidelines applicable to digital tools, data handling, and participant interaction.

Informed consent must be grounded in a clear understanding of the study’s objectives, methodologies (including any use of digital platforms, sensors, or AI tools), potential risks and benefits, and the voluntary nature of participation. Participants, including farmers, institutions, or data providers, must be informed of their right to withdraw from the research at any time, without facing any negative consequences.

It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that ethical considerations are thoroughly addressed at every stage of the research—from design and data collection to analysis and publication. Particular attention must be given to the ethical management of digital data, protection of personal or sensitive information, and ensuring digital privacy and confidentiality.

In cases where formal ethical review board approval is not mandated by institutional or regional policies (e.g., for studies involving anonymized digital datasets or simulation models), authors must provide a clear justification for the exemption while confirming compliance with all other ethical obligations.

The Journal of Agricultural Digitalization Research reserves the right to request supporting documentation or evidence of ethical compliance during the manuscript evaluation process. Non-compliance with these ethical standards may lead to the rejection of the submission.

By adhering to these principles, authors support the ethical advancement and scientific credibility of digital agriculture research, contributing to responsible innovation and sustainable development in the agricultural sector.
